Thyroid Health

Why Thyroid Health Matters

What is your thyroid?

The thyroid is a part of the endocrine gland and is located in your neck. It is a butterfly shaped gland that produces two of the most important hormones regarding metabolic function: triiodothyronine (T3) thyroxine (T4).

What are thyroid hormones?

The hormones released from the thyroid gland are involved in regulating breathing, heart rate, temperature, metabolism, and digestion. The amount of hormone that is released is traced back to the pituitary gland in the brain. The pituitary gland releases thyroid-stimulating hormone (TSH) which then in turn produces the T3 and T4 hormone to be released into the blood.

Is my thyroid functioning optimally?

Are you feeling "OFF?"

Tired or fatigue?

Gaining/Losing weight without trying?

Feeling unseeingly hot/cold?

Irregular Periods?

Rapid or slowing heart rate?

Irritable/On Edge?

If this is you then you may be experiencing thyroid disfunction!

What should I do?

Consult your Physician: Schedule an appointment with your physician with your specific symptoms and concerns.

Get your blood tested: Several blood tests can be performed in order to determine if your thyroid function is off. The bets way to initially test your thyroid function is to test your TSH, T3, T4, and reverse T3 levels.

Evaluation of results: After having your blood tested and receiving results, your doctor will then review them with you.

How CoreRestore supports Thyroid Function

Remember that your thyroid mostly produces T4, which needs to be converted to active T3 in other tissues, like the gut, to T3. If your gut is not healthy, you could be experiencing the symptoms described above, even if you don't have hypo/hyperthyroidism. Inflammation in the digestive tract is also associated with lowered T3 levels.

CorePerform is an evidence-based nutrition and lifestyle protocol to balance hormone levels and optimize the gut and mitochondria. It has 100% success, because it's science- it's what is proven to happen.
