Protein Chocolate Crinkle Cookies

INGREDIENTS: 

  • 1 1/3 cup almond flour 
  • 1/3 cup cocoa powder
  • 1 tsp baking soda 
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1 large egg, room temperature
  • 1/4 cup coconut oil, melted 
  • 1/4 cup unsweetened applesauce 
  • 1/2 cup agave syrup 
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract 
  • 1 scoop CorePerform Protein Powder

DIRECTIONS: 

  1. Combine flour, cocoa powder, baking soda, salt, and protein powder in a medium mixing bowl 
  2. In a separate large mixing bowl whisk together egg, coconut oil, applesauce, agave syrup, and vanilla extract 
  3. Add dry ingredients to wet ingredients and mix until combined 
  4. Cover dough with plastic wrap and chill for at least 1 hour in the fridge 
  5. Preheat oven to 350F and line a baking tray with parchment paper or a silicone baking mat 
  6. Add powdered sugar to a shallow bowl and roll dough into a ball. Then roll ball in powdered sugar 
  7. Place dough balls onto baking sheet
  8. Bake for 12-13 minutes
  9. Remove from oven and let cool slightly on cookie sheet then move to a cooling rack to cool completely. Enjoy!
